Wirtz will stay at Leverkusen for at least two more years

Wirtz's father and agent stated in an interview that the German prodigy will not leave Leverkusen this summer.



At the age of 20, Wirtz has made 31 appearances for Leverkusen this season, contributing 8 goals and 17 assists, helping the club currently sit atop the Bundesliga table with an 8-point lead. In the interview, Wirtz's father said, "Wirtz's contract with Leverkusen runs until 2027, so that's probably how long he'll stay at Leverkusen."

"What will happen and when it will happen, there is no answer. We should wait another two years, and then we will see where our path leads," he added.

Currently, Wirtz has been linked with Bayern Munich by the media, but Leverkusen's asking price is reportedly as high as 130 million euros.
