Arsenal and Manchester United Continue Tracking Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee Amid AC Milan's Interest
Bologna's striker, Joshua Zirkzee, is being closely watched by Arsenal and Manchester United, even as AC Milan shows a keen interest in the player. Despite having a number of attacking options in their sights, both teams are keen on Zirkzee's developments.
Milan has been proactive, with officials from the club jetting off to London last week for discussions regarding the 23-year-old footballer. Although no agreement was reached, contact with Zirkzee's representatives remains unchanged. With a release clause of £34m (€40m) and two years left on his contact, Zirkzee is a significant prospect in the transfer market.
In their search for a young talent to nurture and mold, Arsenal appears to have shifted their attention from other players, like Newcastle's Alexander Isak and Brentford's Ivan Toney, towards Zirkzee. Juventus, too, has shown an interest in Zirkzee but is currently focusing on other targets and would also need to make room for him by selling one of their existing strikers.
The summer transfer window for the Premier League officially opens on Friday, June 14, and will shut on August 30.
